Grey Africa releases TVC promoting the Dulux Visualizer App

Grey Africa recently produced the new Dulux Visualizer app TVC which has recently hit screens nationwide. After just 4 weeks, the Dulux Visualizer app has already enjoyed over 100 000 downloads proving the paint category is hungry for innovation and tools to make the painting journey easier and more inspiring. The TVC communicates that the new Dulux Visualizer app lets you ‘picture it before you paint it’! Using ground-breaking augmented reality, the Dulux Visualizer app lets you colour your walls via your smartphone or tablet and see the result in real-time, as you move about your room – before applying a single drop of paint!

In the TVC, a young couple seems to be experiencing tension as they disagree on what colour to paint their walls. Vusi, the husband then takes out his cellphone that has the Dulux Visualizer app. In no time, the couple gets to experiment and have fun choosing their desired colours in real time. No matter the room you’re painting, the app helps make decision making easy, fun and encourages the creativity to use more than one shade to confidently choose colour and get it right the very first time!
The app has five main central functions: Visualizer, Colour Collections and Inspiration Selection, Product Selection, a Store Locator and Connect with us.

In addition to the main sections within the app there are some helpful functions that will make the decorating journey less risky – these include; a wide selection of colour combinations from any chosen colour, a paint calculator to work out how much paint is required for the task, help videos and a nifty masking tape tool which allows the user to create a customised design on their walls amongst others. ‘This is an innovative app which removes the anxiety associated with painting your living space. The TVC had to accurately reflect the feeling people experience while embarking on the decision to choose colours for their homes. It also had to show the inspiration that could become a reality for the app users,’ said Emma Forster, business unit director at Grey Africa.

This innovative app is free to download from both the Google Play and Apple App Stores. View the new TVC here:
