Complex Build, Fast Turnaround – 3D Cape Rises To The Challenge

3D Cape rose to the challenge of a complex build and fast turnaround time to contribute to the success of World Travel Market Africa (WTM Africa), which took place over three days in the Mother City recently. Organised by Thebe Reed Exhibitions, WTM Africa provides a platform to launch new products, increase brand exposure, debate industry issues and gather market intelligence; all with the view to generating new sales. In the 36 hours post the breakdown of the Cape Town Jazz Festival, 3D Cape completed the main infrastructure installation in the three exhibition halls, as well as feature areas in the Strelitsia and Jasmine restaurant areas, as well as in the walkways in preparation for the exhibitor’s arrival and set up.

This, according to director Andrew Keymer, comprised some 1471sqm of shell infrastructure; all the electrical installations; 15 feature areas for the organiser including a registration area, media zones, pavilion areas, media and hospitality lounges, and the installation of 280 graphic panels. In addition, a total of seven custom-designed stands were erected, two for Sanbi and one each for Freedom Park, Mango Airlines, Dreams for Africa, Mopani Bush Lodge and NAC Aviation

‘Flexibility, a commitment to excellence and the ability to bolster our resources with experienced teams from any of our 10 sister companies are just three of the reasons why clients in Cape Town enjoy working with 3D Cape,’ he said.

‘Given the time constraints, 3D Cape enlisted the assistance of its sister company in Johannesburg to tackle the build.

‘With a crew of 72 strong on site and good collaboration between the two offices, it all went smoothly. Our clients were extremely happy with our performance and we are already engaged with the organiser, Thebe Reed Exhibitions, for next year’s event.’
