Glenfiddich names Glenfiddich Maverick
On 18 February, the pioneering whisky that introduced the single malt to the world, Glenfiddich, held a private ceremony for Inga Gubeka, who was honoured as the Glenfiddich Maverick in November 2015. As the Glenfiddich Maverick, Inga was awarded with the rare honour of bottling and naming his own variant of Glenfiddich valued at R 80 000, which he unveiled on this prestigious occasion.
William Grant & Sons Brand Specialist, Thami Banda said, ‘The Glenfiddich Maverick campaign is a tribute to ordinary citizens who through passion and a pioneering spirit, became successful Mavericks in their industry, similar to that of Glenfiddich’s founder, William Grant. Inga embodies true aspects of a pioneer and we’re proud to have honour him with this precious liquid.’ Inga Gubeka is the founder and CEO of Indalo Décor, a Cape Town based design studio that specialises in contemporary lifestyle decor products and accessories.
