Latest Canon MAXIFY range boosts business productivity with high-performance, efficient devices
Canon Europe has announced the launch of the latest additions to the MAXIFY range. Four new multi-function devices (MAXIFY MB2140 series, MB2740 series, MB5140 series and MB5440 series) and one single-function printer (MAXIFY iB4140), will replace the award-winning MAXIFY MB2040, MB2340, MB5040, MB5340 and iB4040, to supercharge productivity and deliver efficiency and value for home and small offices.
The speed and versatility of the MAXIFY devices maximises office productivity with an improved First Page Out Time (ISO-FPOT-MONO) of six seconds and A4 print speeds of up to 24ipm for black-and-white and 15.5ipm for colour. The speed of the scan, and copy functionalities is matched by the professional quality of output. Specially-designed Dual Resistant High Density (DRHD) inks provide marker and friction-resistant colour prints, with striking black text and vivid colours on graphics for extra durability. In addition, the MAXIFY MB5140 and MB5440 feature Canon’s Single Pass two-sided scan functionality, which allows both sides of the document to be scanned simultaneously, saving valuable time when large batches of documents need to be scanned in one go.
The latest range of printers include models with paper capacity of 500 sheets, as well as high-yield XL ink tanks, producing up to 1200 black-and-white pages (MB2140 and MB2740) or 2500 black-and-white pages (MB5140, MB5440 and iB4140) before cartridges need to be replaced. This reduces the frequency in which cartridges need to be changed, which in turn reduces printer downtime and increases operational efficiency. From energy-consumption to the volume of output, the newly launched line delivers value in every area. Also offered is the option to keep a record of activities such as total volumes printed, scanned or faxed to allow customers to get a better picture of how the device is used in their office.
Printing, copying, scanning or faxing is simple, with the new MAXIFY range. The MB5140 and MB5440 both feature large 8.8cm colour touchscreens and improved user interfaces. In addition to high-capacity sheet feeders and 50-sheet automatic document feeder, the double-sided printing and support for a variety of paper sizes and types – from A4 plain paper, to labels, envelopes, photo paper and even two-sided ID card copying – make light work of common office print jobs.
The MAXIFY range is ideal for flexible working and office spaces where printers are shared by a team or small businesses. With built in Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, MAXIFY devices allow printing to be shared between multiple PCs and wireless devices around the small office. Compatibility with the Canon PRINT app allows users to connect to the printer, using a smartphone or tablet device for printing and scanning. Additionally enhanced mobile connectivity via the MAXIFY Cloud Link will be available on all models, enabling users to print from and scan to cloud based services such as Evernote, Dropbox, OneDrive, Concur and Google Drive – all without the need for a PC.
The new Canon MAXIFY printer range will be available across Europe from July 2016.
