Canon further extends A3 portfolio to help partners strengthen their offering for the hybrid working world
Canon Europe have announced the launch of two new highly serviceable product lines, the imageRUNNER C3226i and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C3800 Series, designed to help channel partners enable efficient and secure hybrid working environments for their customers. These latest additions further expand and complete the brand’s office colour A3 multifunction portfolio to offer a solution that caters to every budget, business size and working setup, so partners can protect their bottom line by supporting customers in any environment.
As many organisations develop long-term hybrid working strategies, partners will need to provide facilities for employees moving between remote and office locations. Canon’s new multifunction devices ensure consistent infrastructure, enabling business continuity through a blend of connectivity, productivity, sustainability and security features, allowing partners to support safe collaboration across these varied workspaces.
Productive and secure hybrid working for customers of all sizes
The new imageRUNNER C3226i is designed to support productivity in hybrid working environments, with a range of improved performance and usability features including a new controller and faster print speeds of 26 pages per minute (ppm). Additionally, for partners that need to offer a mix of cloud and on-premise technology, the latest update to the uniFLOW platform 2021.2 implements extended scan to and print from cloud capabilities, as well as a Microsoft Teams connector. This gives users access to the most up-to-date connectivity and collaboration functionality, so partners can easily enable an efficient, seamless hybrid working experience.
Hybrid working can also present new security challenges, as employees share information across locations, sometimes outside of the company network or using personal devices. With cyber-attacks on the rise[1], security is something customers should never have to compromise on, regardless of budget. The security capabilities of the imageRUNNER C3226i have been brought in line with the current imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX range, with McAfee Embedded Control, SIEM, TLS 1.3 and Forced Hold Print. By strengthening the imageRUNNER devices with the standard security features of Canon’s enterprise-level technology, partners can now offer more comprehensive support for businesses with lower print and capture needs or tighter budgets
New digital capabilities for transformation-focused enterprises
Building on the success of the existing enterprise-level A3 range, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C3800 Series is the perfect addition to partner portfolios, targeting departments with high productivity requirements and organisations looking to ramp up their digital transformation efforts. Offering all the benefits of the imageRUNNER C3226i, including the uniFLOW 2021.2 upgrades, plus enhanced productivity and security features to suit busy hybrid office environments.
With printing at up to 35 ppm, the models offer greater speeds at a competitive price. And an image capture rate of 270 images per minute (ipm) with optional single pass ADF enables rapid paper-to-digital conversion, making it easy for partners to support larger enterprises in high-pressured environments. To help ensure the highest government compliance, the new models also include Common Criteria certification.
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C3800 Series also integrates smoothly with third-party software such as Therefore Online and IRIS, and Canon’s cloud-based document management service, Cloud Workspace Collaboration – Process Automation, fitting easily into bespoke enterprise workflows without complex configuration. Connectivity features such as Near-Field Communication (NFC) and BlueTooth, as well as compatibility with uniFLOW and uniFLOW Online, mean the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C3800 Series can easily work with other devices and solutions in an organisation’s wider information workflow. As a result, installation is quick and hassle-free, minimising admin time for partners.
Seamless interoperability for easy support and maintenance
The imageRUNNER C3226i and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C3800 Series offer the same user experience, media support and standard security features, providing consistency across the imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX portfolio. The devices also share common hardware, parts and accessories, many of which are also used amongst the wider portfolio, making them incredibly easy to service and maintain without needing to source unique replacements. As such, there is a minimal learning curve for partners when implementing and supporting the devices, saving time and money on training, as well as minimising potential downtime for the user and helping to optimise the time engineers need to spend on servicing.
For quick and remote maintenance, without the need for site visits, the Remote Service Operator Kit capability keeps operations moving in busy offices – which is especially helpful where multiple workspaces and satellite offices may be involved.
Taz Nakamasu, Executive Vice President of B2B Document Solutions, Canon Europe, comments: ‘The most important factor for us in this changing market landscape is continuing to support our partners to thrive. As customers begin to reopen their offices, many are adopting new, more hybrid ways of working. This represents a significant growth opportunity for partners. Our broad portfolio already caters to a wide variety of hybrid working situations and these latest additions only continue to strengthen that.
‘Maintaining awareness of the growing and changing needs of our customers is of paramount importance, as is evolving our portfolio to not only meet, but exceed those expectations. Building on the improvements already made to our A3 ranges earlier this year, these new advancements brought by the imageRUNNER C3226i and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C3800 Series allow us to provide partners with a full suite of powerful, secure, colour A3 devices capable of supporting businesses of every s
