Tribeca continues its 15-year award-winning streak
Tribeca Public Relations (Tribeca) continued its 15-year uninterrupted award-winning streak at the 2021 Prism Awards, bringing home five trophies from the 2021 virtual awards ceremony, including one Gold, three Silvers, and a Bronze.
The agency opened the evening’s announcements with a gold award for its Stay Well with Solal campaign in the Healthcare category, which boosted mental health awareness at a time when South Africans needed it most. The campaign helped destigmatise mental health issues and fostered a community that hosted informative and encouraging conversations around the topic.
Its “Tomorrow’s Grid, Today” campaign for energy management company Eaton won a silver in the Resources category, with judges commenting that it was ‘Brilliant work [with] great return on investment for the client … the team did a great job leveraging solid PR opportunities, especially given the cluttered nature of the topic.’
The agency won another silver for its launch and management of the Logitech G Content Creator Academy in the Gaming and Virtual Reality category. The campaign created a platform for emerging gaming enthusiasts to train to be respected content creators, with the client investing in skills and youth development through training and mentorship with the country’s best talent.
Tribeca won two awards for its campaign launching The Capital Hotels and Apartments’ sanitised sanctuaries – a silver in the COVID-19 category, and a bronze in the Travel and Tourism category. The initiative and the campaign helped keep this hotel business alive, its people employed, and its guests safe during one of the most difficult times in South Africa’s history.
‘The last year was extremely tough on our industry, and our people, but Tribeca’s teams have all worked hard and smart through lockdowns and under extremely challenging conditions to produce excellent work for our clients,’ says Nicky James, co-founder and managing director of Tribeca Public Relations.
‘I’m extremely proud of these awards that follow hot on the heels of three Gold awards at the SABRE Awards Africa 2021, and of every single Tribecan who helped make it possible.’
