Energade fuels South African hereos

This year is a huge year for sports in South Africa as the Springboks, Bafana Bafana, the Spar Proteas and Banyana Banyana are all competing in major international tournaments. Fuelled by Energade, all four teams have been able to reach new heights in terms of preparation and success, with Banyana Banyana making history by competing on the global stage for the first time ever. As the only brand partner for all four teams, Energade’s new campaign, ‘Fuelling SA Heroics’ will ignite passion among South African fans and players and aims to highlight that it’s what you put in, that leads to success.

These national teams have been working tirelessly to put themselves in the best position possible, both physically and mentally and through working with Energade over the years, they are ready to bring heroics to their upcoming international competitions. The campaign celebrates the effort the teams put in to make it to the world stage and the hope they bring for their South African supporters. Since as early as 1999 Energade has played an important role in the success of these teams, carefully crafting a hydrating and replenishing sports drink that inspires ultimate performance from its athletes, Energade has become the main source of fuel for South Africa’s best.

Energade has enabled superior performance, allowing these South African heroes to bring glory to their nation across multiple sporting codes. ‘We’re proud to see our teams competing at this high level. It’s quite evident that what you put in on your way to success, makes a difference,’ said Sebenzile Ngcobo, Brand manager at Energade SA. ‘It’s a privilege to get an opportunity to compete on the world stage but that privilege is earned by each individual through what they put in, then coming together as a team and as a country to work towards a common goal, which ultimately leads to our goal of winning. Energade has been a catalyst for us in the process of getting ready for this opportunity and we are eternally grateful,’ said Banyana Banyana Captain, Janine Van Wyk.

The combination of Energade, national support, relentless training and mental preparation has these athletes ready to bring heroics to South Africa.
