Private Property nominated for gsport Award

Private Property has been nominated as Sponsor of the Year, for its work with the South African Women’s Hockey team. The gsport Awards is endorsed by Sport and Recreation South Africa, and is SA’s longest running national women’s sport awards. The Sponsor of the Year award seeks to applaud the Commercial Sponsor who has exceeded its competitors in supporting women’s sport during the year under review.

The property website joins a strong list of 54 finalists in 18 award categories who will all be hoping to scoop one of the prestigious awards. Other big names to look out for at the awards include Commonwealth Games double gold medallists, Caster Semenya and Tatjana Schoenmaker who will battle it out for gsport Athlete of the Year with Wimbledon semi-finalist KG Montjane.

Private Property has been a proud sponsor of the South African Women’s Hockey team for three years. The company was cognisant of the need to support these young women in their quest for sporting excellence due to the huge personal sacrifices they make in order to represent their country.

The three-year sponsorship journey has seen the company throw their weight behind the team as they competed in various competitions including the Private Property Summer Series, Commonwealth Games, Africa Cup for Nations and finally, this year’s Hockey World Cup.

Sue Clarke, Private Property Marketing Manager said, ‘Private Property has been happy to be associated with the Women’s National side over the past three years. For us it has always been about supporting these dedicated and talented ladies who work hard to compete against full time professional athletes. These are women who are still studying or working full time and need our support to compete. We think they are Superwomen and have been proud of their achievements.’
