Konica Minolta South Africa draws crowds at Print Expo

Konica Minolta South Africa’s space-aged stand received positive feedback from the organisers, local businesses and competitors alike at Print Expo 2013, which took place from 12 to 15 March at the NASREC Expo Centre in Johannesburg. The cutting-edge stand was the ideal backdrop to showcase the company’s innovative production solutions.

At the event Konica Minolta South Africa featured its bizhub PRESS C6000 digital colour press, which combines high quality with low cost, as well as the BERTL 5 Star bizhub PRESS C8000, an end-to-end production solution, and the bizhub PRESS C70hc. Featuring High Chroma toner, Konica Minolta technology that elevates colour, graphics and photographic imagery to transcendent levels, the C70hc has output capabilities of up to 70 pages per minute.

Furthermore, visitors were able to see the organisation’s new range of black-and-white equipment, the bizhub PRESS 1250 series, which features unique proprietary technologies that ensure high-definition images as the basis for top-quality printouts.

Those Print Expo visitors interested in the software side were treated to demonstrations of Konica Minolta’s colour management, variable data printing (VDP), Web-to-print, transactional printing and Photo-PRESS (photo book solution).

‘Konica Minolta South Africa really had a fantastic experience at the Print Expo 2013, meeting all of the objectives set out before the show,’ said Leon Minnie, product manager: production systems at Konica Minolta South Africa. ‘First and foremost, we were able to create interest in, demonstrate and promote our production machines to clients. Secondly, we were also able to showcase to clients how our solutions and hardware can work together to achieve results previously not possible on litho presses. Many local businesses have subsequently found a trusted partner to assist them in their transition to a digital solution. Finally, businesses were made aware of our abilities, the quality and cost effectiveness of our solutions, as well as our support and maintenance.’
