Carat appoints new Media Manager

Media agency Carat SA, part of the global Aegis Group, has appointed Ilsa Grabe to the position of Media Manager in its Johannesburg office.

Grabe has notched up significant successes during her time as Business Unit Head with Carat, and her new position will see her share her secrets of success with the Johannesburg team through mentorship and coaching, while being right hand woman to JHB MD Lwandile Qokweni.

‘In our dynamic industry it is crucial to grow and nourish talent, and Ilsa has proven her ability to ensure strategic and accelerated growth,’ said Carat MD Quinton Jones.

Grabe is well known in the industry, having bagged an Internationalist Media Innovation Award, and serving as a Roger Garlick judge. She is also on the 2014 AMASA committee.

She is currently completing her Digital Accreditation through the Greenwich School of Management.

Inspired by the words of William Gibson, Grabe said she believes strongly that, ‘The future is already here, it is just not evenly distributed yet’.

‘Media operatives must always be in touch with the now, an embrace and continually drive change to ensure their client’s business and communications stay ahead of the game,’ she said.
