Poweroad Africa enters the electric power market

Poweroad Africa is marking its entry into the electric power market in South Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa trading in an unlimited variety of electric products and services. The new company was born out of the former Powertech subsidiary Powertech Africa and has started trading effective 1 April 2016. Poweroad Africa is headed by Darin Mac Allister, Managing Director, and Neil Borthwick, Sales and Marketing Director. The company is currently based on the Powertech premises in Bryanston.

Poweroad Africa prides itself on being a single source solutions provider (SSSP) for any power needs across the entire power continuum. Its extensive range of world class products and services help facilitate the flow, distribution and storage of energy from generation through to the plug point.

For each product category, Poweroad Africa has teamed up with world leaders in their respective fields. The expanding list of products and international partners currently includes transformers (Beta Transformers), solar panels (Amerisolar), energy storage systems (Alpha ESS), UPS and inverters (Makelsan), LV electrical and lighting solutions (Elmark) and cable accessories (TTAF). Poweroad Africa focuses on serving customers’ needs as best as can by continuously expanding its offerings with new products and technologies. Poweroad Africa does not only excel in product supply, part of its core offering is assisting with entire power projects, in particular in the renewable energy market. In order to facilitate the entire project from green fields to commissioning, Poweroad Africa offers EPC support of highest quality through select partners.

Financing in Africa often becomes a stumbling block for the realisation of projects. Poweroad Africa facilitates the funding of projects and thus adds additional value to its customers.Geographical focus areas are the markets of South Africa, all sub-Sahara African countries as well as the Ocean Islands. In these markets Poweroad Africa is the exclusive distributor for all ranges of products on offer.
