HWB Communications appoints new CEO
HWB Communications, a leading public relations, media, and communications agency based in Cape Town, has appointed Lisa Devi as chief executive officer to better position the company’s strategic offering. Lisa Devi is an expert on converged media and new agency models, and as such has helped traditional agencies and corporates make sense of the evolving and converging media landscape and how to align this with their business goals. She will be responsible for directing the efforts of the communications team and coordinating at strategic and tactical levels with other enterprise departments within organisations.
Outgoing CEO and founder of the company Evelyn John Holtzhausen will remain as Chairman of HWB. The appointment of a new CEO means that Holtzhausen can focus fully on his role as President of the Public Relations Global Network (PRGN), a position he will take on in November this year.‘Lisa has 25 years of communications experience, and is a seasoned executive with experience across a variety of communications platforms, both traditional and digital,’ said Holtzhausen. ‘She has an outstanding track record from an agency and client perspective, incorporating all aspects of marketing and communications. She is ideal for taking HWB to the next level.’
Devi said she welcomed the chance to keep HWB at the cutting edge of communications by offering more services and products. ‘Our aim is to create a holistic communications firm designed and built to win in a complex digital world,’ she said. ‘While we constantly look for ways to serve our clients better, we also seek to provide exciting opportunities for our people, and attract great talent. Our people are our strength and our clients’ advantage.’
